gold 2.7.1 upgrade keeps asking for license code

I have had the gold version since May '04. When I downloaded the upgrade to 2.7.1, it reminds me to enter the license code. I then go to large screen size in Itunes and see the screen where I can copy my license, but only for a second. Itunes quits at this point. I can use the program, but I keep getting the reminder to enter my code, and also a message that this is a trial version. Am running Itunes v4.7(41) in OS X, v 10.2.8. Any fixes? Thanks for an awesome program!

It may be a problem wqith iTunes if it quits. I've had problems with iTunes recently myself. Try using the standalone version and see what happens.

Privileges are ok. I tried using the stand-alone. When I press shift-H for the documentation, THAT gives me a "g-force has unexpectedly quit" message and the app closes. This is the stand-alone open only, no I-tunes or other audio input. I also see a screen with a field for copying my license for about 2 seconds, then the quit message. As I've said, it works fine except for that nagging "this is a trial version" reminder. I have tried deleting and re-downloading several times. Same result. Thanks for replying.

I guess the standalone has an issue with trying to connect to the Internet while it's running?

Maybe I can suggest that the Docs ought to be bundled with the package in .pdf/.rtf rather than trying to access the site for them?

any update w/ this? I'll try to look into this, but based on this being the first one I've seen like this, i'm not optimistic (having jaguar makes it tough too). shoot me an email in a week or two if you don't hear from me...
