Sprites not moving for last 3 versions of GF

Post by DJ »

Hi,

Great Vis. I am having trouble with foreground sprites not moving. Has happened since the last 3 versions of GF including 2.7 They only appear in the centre. Have tried adjusting the random 25% chance factor but no luck. Have also tried on 2 PCs. Anyone else got this problem.

Cheers DJ

I've got the same problem -- I had assumed it was a placement of my default spite config file or something.

Let me know if you've resolved the issue.

There's a lot of things that could be responsible, but I can't offer help if you don't post amplifying information. Where are you putting the image? Are you using a custom sprite config for the image? If so, post it. If not, did you edit the default sprite config?

Sprites and Scripts not Working

Post by DJ »

Hi, Have upgraded to GF271 and still have the problem. Here's what I've got and what I've tried...
Running = WinXP SP2 with all updates + Winamp 5.05

If I remove all of GF and fresh install(no editing of any files) then put a basic picture (gif) into Sprites/(Auto Foregrounds), I always get the picture appearing centre screen (Use Shift +Y to make it appear), it never moves. Doesn't matter which picture. Also I have many scripts that used to execute fine, but now do not. These scripts are designed to put up different pictures for diff songs so trigger on the song title.

If I completely remove GF271 and install GF264 everything works fine, sprites will move occassionally (25% default chance) and the scripts execute.
Not sure if I have done anything unique to cause this, but I have tried on 2 PCs and with completely clean installs.
Cheers
