IM running vista, firefox and WMP 11. After having gforce platinum for 12 months I updated or renewed my subscription,I uninstalled the old one and downloaded the new one v413.Since then it wont work? Ive trawled the forums for a fix to no avail. As it stands now I have uninstalled it including g-force blue(that came with the computer) but g-force blue is still there and causes WMP11 to crash if I try to run it? v413 had a non responsive drop down menu on now playing. Its an absolute bloody shambles Ive tried to get help from soundspectrum but they have more or less said they don't understand what I'm talking about(read cant be bothered) It seems to be the same every where now, once they have your money you don't matter, but this only applies to big corporations usually so I suppose they are just getting arrogant and too big for their boots. Im 58 y/o and getting grumpier everyday LoL. If anyone has any ideas on this problem it will be appreciated.
SoundSpectrum are a small company who really go out of their way to help their customers in many, many ways. I would suggest you make contact with them again by clicking on the following link:-
The latest version of G-Force is version 4.2 (you say you have version 4.1.3)
G-Force Blue is to the best of my knowledge nothing to do with SoundSpectrum, I believe it's some kind of MP3 site.
Maybe this other program is causing the problems you are experiencing with G-Force, you say that you have uninstalled it but, it's still there. I don't understand, if a program has been uninstalled how could it still be on your computer. Is it possible to disable the program?.
Perhaps you should consider contacting the suppliers of the program and, ask them how you can remove the program from your computer.
Hi BTT,I tried V420 as well no joy there either. I uninstalled g-force blue via control panel/programs & features and it is not there anymore yet its still showing up on the drop-down menu on now playing? The thing is I had never had any problem at all untill I tried to renew my subscription and downloaded and installed g-force. Another thing is that on the install it wont check realplayer? I thought I would get around this by downloading & installing realplayer seeing as it wont work with WMP11 but nope no go. I couldn't tick the box, actually g-force blue worked ok untill I tried to uninstall it
It is possible that when you uninstalled G Force Blue some bits and, pieces were left behind, probably in the Registry. This happens with some types of software. The usual way of overcoming this type of problem is to download the program again and, then try uninstalling once more (you could also try installing G-Force again when G Force Blue is freshly installed) to see if that makes any difference.
When, I personally have encountered this kind of problem with software it has mainly been due to my Windows installation becoming corrupt. If you have your original Vista CD/DVD it may well be worth considering a format and, fresh install of Windows (don't forget to back-up all your important data first though).
Should you decide to go down this route, perhaps it would be wise not to install G Force Blue and, RealPlayer but, try G-Force with just Windows Media Player installed. Should this prove to be successful then you would know that either there is a problem with G Force Blue or Realplayer (or both).
When you downloaded G-Force 4.2 did you uninstall all previous versions of G-Force first?
You can always download G-Force 4.2 by clicking on the link below and, filling in your details.
Hi BTT,I deleted the bits left over in the registry from g-force blue with cc cleaner but I cant reinstall it because there is no-where to reinstall it from? it came with the computer built in.I have noticed another problem with sis vga not responding? I downloaded a new driver for it from their site but now the driver zip file wont extract. By the way I uninstalled all previous versions of g-force first before installing the updated one v413, when I tried another download it was v420? Looks like its a reinstall of windows. I still haven't heard from soundspectrum its been a week since Ive sent them a detailed description of my problem so if they aren't going to take responsibility for their buggy software and help a customer out I'm going to ask for my money back. Either they have so many complaints they are finding it hard to get back to me or they don't give a shit. not good whatever way you look at it.
Even if you used a Registry cleaner there could still be folders or files lurking on your Hard Drive and, it's these that could potentially be a problem.
Not being able to unzip a file to me confirms your installation of Windows could have become corrupt.
Re:- SoundSpectrum. Apart from creating ColorMaps for them (voluntary and, unpaid) I have no connection with the company. However, having dealt with the owner of the company for approx twelve years I can assure you that SoundSpectrum is one of the most honest and, fair companies around. It really is a small company with only a handful of staff. Some work on developing new programs or improving existing programs, one or two work on the daily office business. It would of course be great if after sending a complaint that it was dealt with the same day but, if you knew how hard these guys work and, the amount of enquiries they deal with on a daily basis then a few days or even a week is pretty good going. So, don't be too hard on them.
Hi BTT, I went to the link you posted but its only for ringtones, nothing to do with g-force blue in this instance. Concerning the delay in replying to my inquiry from soundspectrum. Shouldn't they put on more staff to handle this ? You seem to be defending them from a misguided sense of loyalty they are using your talents for there own ends. I mean this is a commercial enterprise we are talking about here! Along with every thing else and the fact that you don't get paid shouts bad management. A good product basically but bad management.
Hi BTT, I have given some thought to re-installing windows but if g-force has corrupted it in the first place then what would be the point?I think we need to find out why this has happened? like on the install where you can tick WMP itunes realplayer ect... it wont respond? re-installing windows wont fix that its probably buggy software that Ive downloaded into my computer that is causing the problems. The g-force installer needs to be fixed for a start, that's probably all it is.Once g-force is running and there is still some problems I will re-install then. Thanks for trying to help me with this BTT
Hi Wombat66,g-force blue came with the computer? Its got a blueish background sometimes and its a low grade version of g-force. I'm running vista and tried to uninstall it through the control panel but it seems the only thing that uninstalled was the g-force blue icon, I cant find any file for it anywhere.Ive noticed that when I uninstall g-force platinum, g-force blue will work? So it looks like a conflict there!!! So Id like to know how to get rid of it.
Re:- SoundSpectrum. Apart from creating ColorMaps for them (voluntary and, unpaid) I have no connection with the company.
Just wanted to make absolutely clear this was in no way meant to be interpreted as a complaint against SoundSpectrum, note that I used the word "voluntary". My intention was to make you aware that I was NOT part of SoundSpectrum.

Did you purchase your computer brand new?. If not where did you obtain the program G Force Blue. Is it a legitimate SoundSpectrum product complete with a licence?
Hi BTT, yes I bought the computer brand new with g-force blue already installed. By the way I finally succeeded in unzipping the new sis vga driver file but g-force still doesn't work. As I mentioned previously to Wombat66 their is a problem with the installation program and I think this is where the problem starts, after the code verification their is a series of boxes to tick for WMP,ITunes,Winamp ect... and seeing as WMP11 didnt work I tried Realplayer but I couldnt tick the box it wouldnt respond, I had set the computer to realplayer as default checked the firewall and it still doesn't work.Do you know what driver g-force uses? Id like to check it just to make sure. This is becoming Epic.
