Also, do you realize that if you click on spam links, you may get a computer virus, or a trojan??
Be careful.
I see the same thing and I've been wondering as well. I remove spam all day long from this site, I think they now have live spammers who keep checking to see if the links have been removed.
The spammers get paid when someone clicks their links. They have others in their "club" to do that, I think. Unless they get paid to click their own links.
It's a shame spammers are too lazy to get a real job.
I delete them too, although I don't check the board as often as you guys. Gotta get some work done Anyway, we've had a discussion about this in an old thread:
have you guys noticed a member named wundermacher?
out of all the spam I delete this name keeps popping up over and over. I removed wundermacher posts 3 times today a couple yesterday ans many times in the past.
Yeah, you are right. I have more power at another forum I mod, and spammers just keep replacing spam and accounts I remove with more. It's a never ending battle.
In banning email addresses, use *.info as a filter.
Not sure if it will work all of the time, and also, anyone with the .info address will be blocked. I am trying it at another forum, to see how it goes.
Hey guys this morning we got a reply from altagit, the post began in that weird font and contained a spam link and then in english he wrote f%@king americans!!!

Not to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't get too giddy about it. Spambots have been constructed with capabilities that make them seem almost human. I'll make a wager that the post title was done by the spammer and the post itself was the bot. I've seen this exact kind of thing dozens of times here while cleaning up the boards.
PS: FWIW, I syuspect that the origin of the spam activity here is from Russia. The original text comes up garbled when filtered thru this site, yes, but I have my reasons to suspect this. Again, FWIW...
