Well....

You *do* hafta *buy* something if it's your intention to *give what you're buying to someone else*, right?

Same principle applies here.

Even if you wanna buy a gift *for yourself*, it'll still set you back some from your own personal funds...unless you get a hefty gift certificate or lotsa spending cash.

Now before I start needlessly going round in circles about how to handle money, I think I see your point.

I think it's gonna be Andy's choice as to whether he feels generous enough to lose the 30 buck price tag for one day.

All gifts cost money.

Asking Soundspectrum to give GF away even just for a day is like asking best buy to suspend all charges for a day.

might be a nice idea but it only works in Utopia

Gifts are free?

Post by mattdice »

I went Christmas shopping the other day and there were gifts...this may come as a surprise to you but they were for sale!!!! Amazing. I guess you call that false advertising. Asking for them to give thrir product away for free is as random as me asking you to give me 30 bucks. Gimme 30 bucks! You're a funny guy...

I would pay more than $30.00 for GF. It's easily worth$ 30.00!! So be happy that it is not more than $30.00

Few quick points, coz I'm not in the mood to referree a fight.

1. Christmas is over. The dead horse is starting to get funky.

2. It's my humble opinion that the answers given to the topic starter's well-meaning suggestion are sensible and civil and therefore (again IMHO) no longer merit the further belaboring of any point made up to, say, two posts ago.

2a. Therefore I do not wish to see this high-speed carousel of a conversation degenerate into a contest to see who can make whom projectively lose their protein (barf) first.

3. I will say this *once only* via friendly reminder. Please keep this and all threads you choose to be part of as free of bad vibes (un/intended or perceived) as possible. This, I respectfully suggest, means everybody involved.

Carry on.

I also wonder how quick the Soundspectrum website would disintegrate with the volume of leechers lol
I'll come to bed once i've seen everything in G-Force.

Being a 2 time G-Force License buyer I'm a little bit annoyed at only having a 10 or 5 dollar discount as buying Sofskies or G-Force as a gift. Surely Soundspectrum should reward loyalty a little better than that or it may loose out in favour to piracy.

This year however, I did buy Softskies for a friend but I had not enough to buy one for myself. I was sort of expecting that as a loyal customer of G-Force and a fan of Soundspectrum that I might get some free licence for myself.

What happened to the good old days of getting a special version of Whitecap on Christmas day if you were a G-Force licence buyer?

I feel a little cheated.

I know that for repeat magazine subscriptions you get a discount net time you decide to renew and more of one the longer you are with them. Might not be all magazines but the ones I used to get anyway. This way I wouldn't feel as if I was just seen as another faceless statistic.

Anybody feel the same?
