Standalone Question

Post by jwaldron »

How do I get the standalone to use normal system sounds (wave) to monitor? Do I have to use a media player? The sources available are all the sound card ports or sound generators. Don't see a basic system sound channel.

Thanks!

all the ports listed are the ports on your computer only the sound generator ones come with GF

the other choices listed should be options for your soundcard.

most likely the one that says WAV or WAVE is the one you want to check.

That's the problem...I don't have a WAV option. Just Mic, Line In, Aux, then three different sound generators

go to your control panel and click ' sounds and audio devices' Hit the audio tab then hit the volume tab, a window should open showing all your audio ports.

windows play control should show you options for computer volume and all the other audio ports your computer has.

make sure there is a wave option. if its not there you may have a problem with your soundcard. make sure its been updated or try reinstalling, sometimes things go wrong.

"creative" anyone?

other than that I cannot think of another reason for why wave out is not listed.

Not all Windows sound drivers offer "loopback"/"what you hear" input functionality, unfortunately.
