G Force on Win Media Player 11 Beta
Hi;
Is anyone having problem with no other visualizations playing on
Win Media Player 11 Beta 'only' G Force?
I just up-graded to G Force Plat and Win Media Player 11 Beta
from Win Media Player version 10 everything (all the other visualizations
I downloaded plus G Force worked there!)
Thanks
B

GF on MP 11 beta
Thanks, GF has no problem on WMP 11 beta, its all the other visualization
programs like <blazingcolorsviz/trilogy 1/2/3 etc, etc> they don't seem to want to play when GF is on there?
That's the problem I'm having, any ideas?
And everything worked fine on WMP10, maybe I should wind back ?

GF on WMP 11 betra 2
Hi and thanks;
<Do you mean when you try and play the standard WMP visualizations <when GForce is running?
<Or those standard ones don't work if GForce is installed?i
Yes, none of those standard ones seem to work if you try to run them when GForce is installed
I just get a blank screen when I switch to one of them playing them separate on WMP 11 beta 2 from GF.
Everything worked great on WMP 10 so it must be WMP 11 beta 2

The problem you describe is unusual -- you may want to try updating your video drivers (from the manufacturer's web site) to ensure that the problem is not related to outdated drivers that are having problems with the new WMP 11 interface.
In the event that the problem is related to the use of OpenGL within G-Force, you may also want to turn off the OpenGL functions within G-Force as follows:
To turn off the OpenGL capabilities within G-Force Platinum, please start the Standalone version of G-Force (from the Start menu in Windows) and press "Shift O" once the G-Force screen appears (a text message should appear informing you that OpenGL has been turned off). If this does not work for any reason, please try the folowing: (i) Please open the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\G-Force (ii) Open the file "Global Preferences.txt" (iii) Add the following text as the last line within the file "nOGL=1"

problem solved
thank you;
adding "nOGL=1" to the last line of <G-Force\Global preferences.txt> solved the problem.
"nOGL=1" is present second to last line <same .txt> but was not being picked up, do I remove it ??
Much appreciated!!

partly solved!
Adding "nOGL=1" and <saving> to the last line of <G-Force\Global preferences.txt> only half solved the problem.
When I shut down the computer and restarted I was back with the problem again.
I have to re-insert that last line <nOGL=1> into <Global preferences.txt>
each time I restart.
How do we get that last line to stay permenent I tried 3 or 4 times and SAVED each time but it drops out each time I shut down?
thanks

FYI -
I had the exact same problem upgrading my media player on my MCE 2005 machine (from Media Player 10 to 11).
All visualizations (existing ones) just rendered a black scrren.
The problem was finally resolved by downloading the updated driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Display Adapter (or simply reinstalling the current drivers - if you have them may work).
After reinstalling my graphics driver (NVIDIA GeForce 6600 v9.1.4.7) the visualizations all came back.
Hope this helps you out...
