The best way to do what you want to in the standalone version is to write what's called a script to show exactly when (and even where on the screen) you want the titles of your songs to occur.

There are others here who are better script makers than I am and will show you how to do it.

The standalone app doesn't have accss to track info, so it will never display any text on its own. You can insert text manually--see the customizing section of the docs for more (and see Script Command Reference.txt).
