Question about background images?

Post by nc_halfpint »

I just got a commercial license for G-force. I plan to use it for a church youth conference we will be having. We have our own Youth Summit logo I would love to use, but when loaded, it takes on the color of the visualization.

At our last conference, I used WMP with a winter visualizations that I downloaded from the windows site, it let you add your own JPG background images and the visualizations took on the color of the background JPG image, it was perfect for the project. There is only so much you can do with snow and ice crystals tho.

I would be tickled pink if I could get G-force to do the same thing, or at least find a way to make the color map a little transparent. The possibilites at our youth conferences would be endless w/gforce.

You would have to make it foreground sprite as a back ground it will always take on the color map and be behind the rest.
As a foreground it will keep changing with the color map but be conpletely visiable.

We were just talking about the loss of the foreground folder
http://forums.soundspectrum.com/viewtop ... =4265#4265

Copy and paste this text:
A0="123 + 456 + rnd( 789 )"
B0="123 * sin( t * .456 )"
X="XPOS"
Y="YPOS"
Sped=".12345 * A0"
EPen="FADER"
Pen=1
Flag=4
// The duration (in seconds) of the sprite
PDur="20 + rnd( 50 )"
Vers=310
into a text editor and save the file in the Sprites folder calling it the same filename as your logo but with a .txt extension. If the pic is called "Youth Summit.jpg" call it "Youth Summit.txt". Make sure it saves as a text file and not "rich text" etc.

As MEM said, it will take on the colors of the current colormap.

Thanks, I was playing around with the default txt after reading the foregrounds folder thread and stumbled across something that looks really kewl. (pretty kewl considering I know nothing about script)

I managed to get a screen shot in profile. The youth concert will be Called "Purity" and the visualization will be shown with a song called "Pure Flow" by the Super Chicks, When the visual is running it looks exactly like water is "flowing" out of the Logo. It's Perfect! Thanks g-force! Tooooo Cooooooooool!
