All my config zips but one should work with the beta. If not, you have found a reportable bug! The only exception is, as noted, the zip with those incremental colormaps called ...300.zip. With the new graphics engine we have lost a way of incrementing a variable by adding a value to itself. It is a common programming technique. In the C language there is a short cut for it, adding a ++ to the end of the var: C := C++. That's where they got the name for the object oriented language C++.

It must be too difficult to implement in the new engine. Andy has been quite silent on the matter. But since I'm the only one to have used it, it must not be considered worth the effort. I can only guess as to how hard it would be to accomplish. While they were in some ways my best colormaps, what can you do?*1 They quit making the Hemi some 35 years ago but if you have the money you can buy a brand new one today.
So hopefully someday Andy will be doing something totally unrelated and it will come to him in a flash!

Anyway the scripts are compatible with 3.0 and 3.1 but they don't use any new configs that may have been added. As soon as 3.1 production version is released I will update the scripts to incorporate the latest configs. Who knows, maybe my colormap three14 will make the grade? It's one of my favorites.

In any case, I am open to suggestion on how to improve the scripts. I like the union on union thing. I like having the entire screen full of colors. Everyone might not like my approach. Which reminds me, I'd better get busy on that GA thing. Then we'll know what people do prefer.

In the meantime please let me know what you think of the configs and scripts.

*1 I have kept a copy of 3.01 around by renaming the SoundSpectrum folder. If I really want to view them (the lost colormaps) I can easily go back to the old version. I did try to duplicate the results by rewriting the math but I was unsuccessful.
