3.0 screensaver won't work on my mac

It's installed in ~/Library/Screen Savers, it shows up on the control panel's screensaver list, but the test window is black. Also, the SoundSpectrum folder in ~/Library/Application Support is empty. What have I done wrong now, and how do I fix it? The 3.0 iTunes plugin seems to work fine. OS 10.3.9. Thx.

try reinstalling to begin with then get back to me

Platinum? Of course. I reinstalled it and it works fine now.
