Windows 10

I'm just setting up a new laptop with Windows 10 and I can also can't get G-Force to work with Winamp. Winamp, although an older version, works fine in Windows 10, but the G-Force plugin doesn't get listed in Winamp after installation so there's no way to start it. The Standalone G-Force work fine, I just can't get Winamp to see the plugin on Windows 10.
Hello Henderson
Winamp is the player of choice for most SoundSpectrum users. I have no idea why G-Force is not being regonised by Winamp in Windows 10.
I have not upgraded to Windows 10 so cannot offer you any advice except to click on the link below to contact Frank at SoundSpectrum support who has said in a previous post that there are no known problems with their products and Windows 10.

Thanks for that info, I will do that.
Edit: For the heck of it I just tried G-force in Windows Media Player on the Windows 10 laptop, and it does show there under Visualizations and starts as it should. The laptop was upgraded to 10 from Windows 8.1, so that's probably why some of us still have Windows Media Player on Windows 10 even if it wasn't included in the installation package for 10.

Hello Henderson
That's very interesting even confusing. It seems that different parts of the world are getting slightly different versions of Windows 10. I have read of some features working in one country but not in another. Guess it will take a little time to settle down.

It's Windows Media Center that was discontinued in Windows 10, not Windows Media Player. Media Player is still included in Windows 10, no matter if you upgrade or install clean - and it's in both 10 Home and Pro... I'm currently running GForce on WMP with Windows 10 Pro on my HTPC, and also with Windows 10 Home on both my primary home computer and my All-in-One I use as my "Luggable Laptop" on business trips...
FEEL an awesome 3D Blu-ray movie with powerful Buttkickers under the seats, in the FREYMAX "4D" Theater!
Thought I'd post an update that I now have G-Force working with Winamp. My version of G-Force was several years old by now, which still worked perfectly with everything on WinXP and Windows 7, except for the combination of Winamp on Windows 10. Oddly enough it did work in Windows Media Player on Windows 10.
I tried the newest version of G-Force and that works perfectly in Windows 10 with Winamp on the laptop. So I upgraded, and got Aeon at the same time, so everything is now working fine.

My guess, is if you expect help, you really need to provide USEFUL detail about the exact nature of the problem....
(this is not meant to be mean/critical, but just REASONABLE expectations if you expect someone to look into YOUR exact situation)

My Win7(Intel,GF5.4)->Win10 attempt required a reinstall of GF, but worked fine. My Fraps/Cyberlink utils seemed to work, but generated corrupt output... so back to Win7.
Unless you really NEED Win10, I would wait for the first service pack release... but that is just me.

Google: "How to Uninstall Windows 10"
(it's on the "How-To Geek" website)
Disclaimer: I did a full re-install, but I know for up to a month after the Win10 install, you are suppose to have to option to revert.
When you try to start GF on Win10, don't you just get a message it needs to be reinstalled? What version are you on?
