Ozbeats,

Shoot! I meant WhiteCap, and I wrote Aeon. I apologize for the confusion.

No problems Frank,

All good, no sweat! I'm thrilled that SS has added 64-bit iTunes support in the same week of Apple's release :)

We've actually supported 64-bit iTunes for over a year! Which is why I was so confused when this issue popped up.

Actually, they changed the iTunes visual API, so all sorts of things needed to be switched around. If you have some older visualizers, keep an eye out for similar issues!

True, but I can confirm the layout of iTunes for 64-bit OS's has changed:

Before: 64-bit OSs installed a 64-bit iTunes in 2014
The program installer was 64 bit but iTunes still installed in the 32-bit folder - Program Files (x86) - SS visual support was fully functional (functioning as 32-bit plugin)

Now: 64-bit OS users are required to install a fully native 64-bit iTunes.
The program installer package is 64-bit, iTunes 12.1 is also fully 64-bit, and it now installs in the 64-bit 'Program Files' folder.
Therefore, SS visuals need to be native 64-bit plugins also.... Visible upon starting the visualizers below the SS program logo....

Hope this clarifies the differences. :)

Cheers, from Alf

I've been out of the 1-year update window for a while now. This means my WhiteCap is effectively bricked because I can't use it with iTunes and the standalone version doesn't work for me because of the way I have my audio hooked up on my computer.

I would consider buying again if I could buy a lifetime subscription or something that would protect me from situations like this in the future. 1 year renewal plans will prove to be very costly I feel.

Maybe an idea for SoundSpectrum to consider, if you purchase a SoundSpectrum product at the full price for year one, after that you pay 50% of the current purchase price to renew yearly subscriptions. This suggestion is based on me not knowing how many users renew their subscriptions each year, but I believe this would encourage more users to do so.

Great solution, BTT! Add my vote.

I'm quite sure this would provide incentive to many more users to renew -- and increase loyalty, inspire development, word-of-mouth, customer rapport. I'd think the increase in memberships would offset the loss from renewers paying half.

Hi guys,

This is actually exactly the system already in place. Users whose licenses are about to expire are sent a notice, along with a link with the option to renew their license code for 50% off.

Unless there's something that I'm misunderstanding about your post? Thanks for the suggestions!

Hello Frank

Good vacation I hope?

Didn't know that you already operated such a system, that is certainly a really good deal.
