Hi everyone,

Andy just informed me that the KillRunningScripts() issue is fixed for the next release, which should come out 1-2 months from now (barring any unforeseen events).

Dew Point:

Ah yes the scientific explanation of Dew Point. I was wondering what Dew Point had to do with G-Force but thought it could also have been the nickname of a forum member. Humidity was the furthest thing from my mind at this point as we are 'melting' under a heat wave at the moment on this side of the 'pond' and expecting hosepipe bans at any moment. Are you suffering high humidity levels? We have had the worst spring weather for years and now suddenly the weather has changed so we are enjoying it while it lasts.
Many thanks for the help with the kill scripts problem. Asking Jerohm for help and Jerohm confirming the problem has (I'm sure) speeded up the solution which I hear will be implemented in the next release. Job Done!!!!

Toolbar

In that upcoming release are their any updates on the toolbar, specifically in the external directories not picking up subdirectories and secondly in the 64-bit version not reading/communicating correctly.

I am a bit concerned about the way the new GUI seems to disappear when a bright colormap comes up. The options fade into the vis while you are trying to make changes.

I have just upgraded from 3.9 which I never had many issues with at all over the 4 years it has been installed.

I have to say that since installed v5 today I am already having issues :/

Not a happy customer!

JRiver Performance

Post by onedigit »

I just installed 5.1 and I find the performance of G-Force is a little jittery with JRiver, however on Media Monkey G-Force is smooth and fluid. For previous releases of G-Force Media Monkey was also better at syncing up with the audio than other media players. there was always a slight delay using WMP.

Just my observations...

When your running J.River go into the settings of G-Force and be sure its running at 60 fps target frame rate. I noticed it always defaults back to 30fps per player. So you have to set it for each player you use. They should set the target frame-rate higher imho. G-Force is not very demanding. 50 or 60 should be the default.

Works super fluid here with both J.River MC 18 and 19 at highest settings. I am also running it on detached display ( my 70 inch TV in 1080p ) while I continue to work or browse on my main PC monitor.
