Help me better understand the question... you can use one, the other, both, or neither (so isn't that the best list of choices possible?)
BTT wrote:Hello Andy

As it seems G-Force 5.0 will have both the new GUI and the G-Force toolbar will the user have the choice of choosing one or the other?

Hello All

I thought regular users of any SoundSpectrum product were aware they should completely uninstall any previous version, including the various folders the uninstall leaves behind before installing a new version.

I believe when installing any SounSpectrum product that the user should be given the choice of the installation location as against the default setting built into the installer product.

I have not downloaded any version of GF 5.0 (beta) due to the many bugs in GF 4.4 which were never rectified, it appears that some of these bugs are showing up in GF 5.0 so until the dust has settled I am sticking with GF 4.3.2 simply because it works without causing any grief.

Hello Andy

I was not aware of that when I posted the question, thanks for the clarification.

I think having the choice between the toolbar and the new GUI is an good idea.

This way a user can use G-force the same way they have been and those who want the new can do that if they choose.

Thanks for giving us the option Andy

Any update when this will be released??

Hopefully it fixes the issue I am having with J River Media Center 18.. About every 12 or so seconds, it pauses. I bought the platinum version about three months ago and haven't used it at all because of this. Standalone works fine but defeats the purpose of me buying platinum over gold.

I'm not a vetrain user, but would there be any chance I could get access to the beta, been dying to use G-Force with J River..

Cheers

This refuses to open past the Dmg stage on my MacMini. This is doubtless a "missing BOM file" issue I had before.

I have sent my second support ticket as a followup.

OS 10.7.4 if this helps.

1.When I click to download, I get a zip file. This is automatically opened and the .dmg icon appears on the desktop.

2.When I double click it, the fat white icon that ostensibly indicates a mounted disk does not show up, when it obviously should.

If it did what it was supposed to, I should've seen the icon for a .pkg file after I double-click at step 2 in the process.

I don't think it has anything to do with my machine's ability to read things (or not in this case) when auto-decompressing from a zip file.

I've tried different methods of manual disk mount. And come to think of it, it was Disk Utility that indicated to me that the now-infamous "missing BOM file" is the culprit. Apparently if this is not present, the .pkg file will not show.

And I guess it's at this point when my Mac Mini's attempt to successfully complete the disk mounting process and, therefore, allow the normal installation process to continue.........simply craps out.

I hope that clarifies things.

Hello JayPro

Many thanks for your detailed explanation. To be honest my knowledge of Macs is zero, so I have sent an email to Andy and Paul Burrows asking them to reply here on the forum or to contact you direct.

G-Force 5.0b3 - not showing in iTunes 11 on 64 bit Win8Pro 64-bit‏

I just picked up this issue with iTunes 11 : 64-bit not showing an option in the visualizer menu for G-force5.0b3

Sounds similar to what you had previously rectified earlier with the AEON pre-release beta...

Hope you can fix this and list it as optimized in the next beta release,

Thanks immensely,

Alfred Penny
