Aeon customization

Post by juxtiphi »

I think it would be much easier if Soundspectrum added a scene icon next to the blank boxes with names in the editor section so that you can see what it is you want to use with out having to go back and look through all the other active scenes and match up the names you need.

I think its a bit silly to have a bunch of blank boxes that give you no idea of what the scene looks like. right now its too much work to bother customizing Aeon

Very pleased someone has posted about this issue, I thought it was just me having difficulties. I thought this was a main feature of the GUI. Hope this is not a sign of things to come when G-Force is shipped with a GUI.

Hi BTT

In the past I felt Aeon looked really amazing, you know the scenes have become so dimensional but! for some reason I wasnt getting the experience I thought I should be having.

Just yesterday I noticed that I hadnt bothered to try increasing the time scale option found in the scenes menu.

since I have increased it to 3.59 (I've tried 5) I find that Aeon is far more interesting than I thought. All the images move faster and look more in time with the music although there are still some scenes dont do anytiing for me at all.

Aeon is cool just hope they come up with some icons or atleast a document that you can reference while checking boxes. I want to set it and forget it if you know what I mean  :D

Took Aeon for a ride tonight, many jarring transitions. Some scenes just jumped from one to another without a fade until Aeon went blank and reported an draw error. Anyone else notice any lagging or rough tranistions.?

Also I think a good way to make customizing Aeon super easy would to be this,

Have a menu window with a box containing icons for each scene. Then you have a line next to that box that you can drag the scene icons of your choice onto and make a chain. Then under each icon you could have a small window which allows you to set the duration in minutes for each scene.

This seems much easier than scripting because you can literally see what you will have made and would encourage the user to get more creative wth each chain they create.

Actually the transitions are better than before. But I am also getting blank screen. I thought it was because I deleted the leaf and sakura tree scenes, but that is not the problem evidently.

I was a supporter of Mr. Andy O'Meara's Gforce before it was a company. It has been suggested that I contact tech support, which i have done in the past and have never received a reply unitl I complain on this forum and then someome replies. I suggest that if you are paying someone to market your product, then fire them. If not then someone from the company needs to address to internet. To have a support forum run by non company person is not acceptable, because the company support does not respond. so put BTT on the payroll and offer some customer service. It is the right thing to do.

Hello cwoolrich

I apologise on behalf of SoundSpectrum for the continuing lack of support. I have today (Friday 19th October) sent emails to Paul Brower and Andy asking them to respond to you either here on the forum or to contact you direct.

As the Category help text notes, if you click on the text label of a config, the vis will switch to that config, allowing you to see which one it is.

Hi Baldufa,

In what way does it not work for you? Could you tell us more about the problem?
