iTunes 10.5 keeps crashing on Windows 7 and Aeon
Hi there
I just purchased Aeon Gold but it doesn't run on iTunes 10.5 on Windows 7 (exact iTunes version: 10.5.0.142)
iTunes just crashes everytime you turn the Visualizer on. The default iTunes visualizer works, but not Aeon.
The strange thing is the Demo version of Aeon DOES work.
I wonder if this is a known issue? I only downloaded Aeon Gold on Sunday 23 Oct 2011 so I assume it is the latest version.
Thanks

I could agree with them, but I consider another possiblity:
1. resolution: I used a second monitor with 1280x1024 resolution instead of my laptop with 1920x1080 resolution. (check preferences-file in C:\Users\USERXXX\AppData\Roaming\SoundSpectrum\SoftSkies\Preferences (iTunes).txt) It didn't excist/wasn't created, until after step 3. (probably because it crashed everytime trying creating the file?)
2. Run iTunes as Administrator
3. 64-bit windows 7 & 64-bit iTunes. An option to try is using the 32-bit iTunes app.
4. Multiple reboots (due to windows updates)
5. Start iTunes in 5:4 (1280x1024) screen.
Somehow after the 4 steps it started working as it should.
Still not consistent, because after my laptop goes in sleep-mode and I turn it back on (even if iTunes was closed), it crashes again. I need to reboot to get it workin again.

That's great guys, looking forward to the fixes
FYI, as a workaround I am able to install the Trial version of Aeon, and then copy all the Scene python files from the Gold version manually into Program Files.
It works and I do get all the Scenes, but I still get the "This is a trial" message from time to time

iTunes 10.5 keeps crashing on Windows 7 and Aeon
While the recent crashes have been aggravating, they don't happen every time. I have found a fresh boot and calling up the iTunes visualizer first sometimes helps. Aeon is spectacular enough to use almost every day and look forward to renewing my license for another year, depending whether or not this issue gets fixed before it's Dec 10th expiration.
