Freezing Problem w/ Second Monitor w/ GF and XP HALPPLZ

Post by trevah »

Hello,

So G-force has been freaking awesome for me so far but I just upgraded to a dual monitor setup and I'm having an issue. And just to cover myself, I HAVE done extensive searching and haven't found anyone else with this exact problem on these forums. That being said, I've got a tiny LCD as my primary at 1280x1024 and my large LCDTV at 1920x1080 as my secondary and they're running in dual-view (WinXP). Previously, my TV was my only monitor and GForce worked perfectly on it. Only when the dualness is introduced do I have a problem.

The problem:
GForce standalone works perfectly on my primary (tiny lcd) monitor. I can maximize it, do whatever I want to it, no problemo. The second I throw it over to my secondary (the TV), the window immediately goes completely black. If I full-screen it, it essentially duplicates my background as a frozen image. Returning it to normal size brings back just a black box. I've tried this with the screensaver option as well as the WMP visualizer option and have gotten the same result both times. For some reason GForce just won't work on the second monitor (which it worked on previously when it was the only monitor being used). Also to note, all videos run perfectly on the second monitor, games to boot.

TLDR: GForce's video freezes when put onto second monitor. Not an issue with the monitor itself, either hardware or software-wise. Seems to be relative to either GForce or the way that WinXP handles dual-view output with the GForce engine on secondary monitors.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thankya.

PS: Tried with and without ultramon, no dice so far but I'm not that well-versed in the program.

Halp? Additional info: when switched back from secondary to primary monitor, GForce continues running no problem, and looks like it had been running perfectly fine on the secondary. Something just seems unable to allow GForce to draw onto the second monitor.

Again, HALP?!
