Also, to be clear, our current updates run fine on x64 systems, just not within 64-bit media players, such as WMC x64.
I have a very, very common Soundblaster card (X-Fi) running the latest drivers and G-Force 4.01 Platinum still won't connect to it. Not sure why the "What U Hear" option was ever taken out but man, it really sucks only being able to use G-Force through iTunes or WMP.
Is there any word on the progress of this issue?

The what you hear option is an extension of your audio drivers, If GF cannot see it then there is a problem with your card installation or the registry.
I have an creative X-FI Titanium card, I use the (what you hear option) when I run GF standalone. the problem may be with your soundblaster installation, in the past I have had many issues with installing creative audio cards. sometimes all the components dont install properly.
try updating your SB, uninstall GF completely (delete the soundspectrum folder in ( C/my docs/user name/application data )
reinstall GF
also try making the SB your default windows audio driver.
creative has an option to select which driver you want SB to use. right click your SB volume icon (assuming thats the one you use) and hit the select audio device tab and make sure that your SB is selected rather than the windows default.

I even uninstalled all of the Creative software and drivers and just ran the 2.18.15 driver alone but still no luck.Gringo wrote:sitsparky wrote:Actually, it still does not work in stand alone mode in Windows 7 64-bit in any variation that I've tried.dbjorck wrote: The current iteration of this FAQ entry has been in place ever since Windows x64 systems started becoming more popular and we started receiving more support questions regarding compatibility. If anyone who is running Windows 7 64-bit with a current X-Fi Soundblaster has found a fix for this (and not a work around with running plugs to a microphone input), I'd really, really like to hear how they got it to work. Thanks!
Hey guys.
I just signed up to post in this thread. I had your program since 2007 and I used it on my old computer forever.
I bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it and your old program wasn't compatable, so I bought it again. I was hoping, but had no expectation that my old software would integrate with 7.
Very happy about my purchase. Thanks again.
