3D Custom Screensaver with snapshots from G Force

Post by paul-t »

This program handles G force snapshots and morphs them into rotating spheres cubes and is worth a try! Input your own music in background, create stand alone apps. Any other programs of this kind I'd be interested to check out...?

Hey there, paul-t!
How about giving us a little more info about 3D Custom Screensaver, so we can possibly give it a try. Who makes it? Where is it available? How pricy is it? Whatever other info you think is pertinent? !!!
Take care.

G'day Toby, I paid $21.86 Au. so you would be up for $16--$18 U.S. Find it at [www.winsquad.net] Download trial version and go from there if you want to buy it...I reckon it's excellent value and could be used as a utility to store your precious library of screenshots as well as other media file types(jpg, gif, bmp, etc.) Maybe you could save whole G force moving sessions in the video part of it too - with the original sound track! There is a bit of scope here ; I've only had it 12 days but in the time I've had to work with it I've mastered the basics - very user friendly program with good support if you have any questions. There may be other similar programs out there that are better - I haven't seen any - yet!! My hat's off to people with not only the aesthetic sense but the technical ingenuity to cobble together programs like G force and the 3d screensaver. Another interesting site for graphics freaks is [samurize.com] Anyhow, I'm off see ya!

Hi paul-t,
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll give it a try, and thanks again for the info on samurize.com. I'm afraid I'm no longer technically competent enough to be classified as a graphics freak... I guess that now I'm just freaky about graphics.
Take care.

get no joy with this program, just crashes itself all the time. tried several things to get it working. I tend not to use anything if i cant get it working after 10 attempts :)

still too pricey imho for a screensaver anyways.
I'll come to bed once i've seen everything in G-Force.

Sorry to be so slow in replying, but I didn't get a GF e-mail that said that you posted again... I just caught this by accident while going through the forum. My result were similar, though I conversed with their tech support people a couple times via e-mail, and they said "they were working on it". They did offer a refund, though I told them I would hang on for awhile and offered to do some beta testing. I think the program has potential, but it just needs a lot of work. You might want to approach them with a refund request. My first e-mail to them was pretty blistering, almost too hot to touch... you might want to try the same approach. Take care.

3D Custom Screensaver with snapshots from G Force

It's been a while since I checked this forum post and I must add that I did have problems with the program too-the"error must close box please report!" not that doing that did anything to help. It sort of worked, and when I tried it again after uninstalling-checking for patches/updates etc-then reinstalling (I think the same version),it did exactly the same thing(aprox.2months back i.e.).
After reading the previous post from toby I now wonder if there has been any movement in respect to improving on the program.
I'll get in touch with them anyway too +see what's going on.
The G-Force screensaver is a blast anyway, but I'd say the winsquad one has potential in its own way.All the best
