Hello people my problem is:-
I cannot get the standalone version to react to audio, even though the options selected as "what i listen too" on my audigy SB.
In Win 7 (64 bit) in the sound options ive made "what I listen too" default in the recording section. I use the SPDIF as my default listening to sound option. Ive also selected this in the "what I listen too" in the properties. |

the default windows audio driver is probably still listed as the only sound device in your registry.
try disabling all on board sound options and restart. see if this makes your SB the new default driver. |

| I've already disabled the onboard sound in the bios as win 7 did not support it properly. Where else do i need to look? |

Hello is there any update on this problem. I recently tried out Virtual Cable and I even had problems with this. I had the sound of "trail version" but when i played music nothing happened. Even though I had selected it in the windows recorder section and in Whitecap settings area.
Any Help? |

I have an sb card if you use the volume icon that comes with the program
right click the volume knob shown in your task bar and then look under select audio device. It may show only the windows option or it may show both windows and the sb, if it shows the sb make sure its selected there.
If you dont see the sb listed there then you may need to uninstall your audio card clean your registry of all the old creative files and do a clean install.
sometimes creative will only install partly and some of the applications will work others wont.
I could be wrong but considering the similar problems I have experienced with all three of the creative sound cards I have I would say its not a problem with whitecap. it sounds more like a registry problem. |
