Standalone always on top?
I remember one of the demos or a musician on a forum stating that if I wanted G-Force to always be on top, I'd have to buy it. So, I picked up Platinum, and now I can't find the "always on top" option. Even if the V-Bar worked on my computer, that's not what I need. I need a screen I can resize and move around while I'm writing music in my host.
Thanks
Thanks
there is no always on top option for the G-Force vis window, the on top option pertains to the toolbar so if you have one screen and need access to the toolbar it will be there on top of GF vis window or if you're running otherr apps on a primary screen it will stay in focus no matter what prog you use.
although the GF vis window when in full screen mode is always ontop unless you hit the start key to bring up the desktop. as for the Vbar it can be re sized to pretty much fill the screen plus it can be moved to any edge of the screen and has a lot of different looks.

Yea, I have no use for the toolbar to be on top. The V-Bar is nothing at all like I would ever need or use. The V-Bar even tells me G-Force can't be run on my computer. Did G-Force ever have "always on top"? At one point that feature was brought up in musician's forum. That's one of the things I was looking forward to. However, I've been considering buying G-Force for many years and have been through a few demos. So, this may be a discontinued feature. I still need the standalone as VLC Player isn't supported. Yes, I know about Winamp. It's not my kind of app.
there never was an on top feature like the one you speak of, also I dont really understand your point is ? you say you want GF to be able to be resizable with the ability to move it around.
you can use the standalone in windowed mode and resize it any way you want and put it anywhere on the screen so whats the beef?
also if you mentioned the vbar wont work on your copmp if you want GF to run properly then you should make sure your graphics card and or processor can handle it by updating drivers or getting a new more powerful video card.

G-Force has always worked fine on my computers. It's just the V-Bar that doesn't work. As I stated, I'm OK with that, as I don't see the point of V-Bar. As for my point, I was describing the difference between V-Bar and "always on top". Of course I'd need to be able to move the app window around, as space is maximized in a host. However, this is about keeping G-Force on top while I compose. I don't know how I can be any clearer.
My graphics card is a Rage ATI 128, I think, that someone gave me. Others have tried to give massive cards, but they don't fit in my machine. However, G-Force is as smooth and responsive as always. I'm not worried about graphics cards, as the art I work on doesn't require anything special. I do have to have an intense audio card though.

Just do an image search for Tracktion 2. They will all be fullscreen as that's the only option. I'm not sure why you want to see the program I work in the most. However, It'd be nice if you ask Andy to make a VST version of G-Force. He'd make a lot of musicians happy and boost sales. Here's the VST SDK http://ygrabit.steinberg.de/~ygrabit/pu ... index.html . In the mean time, it'd be great if he adds "always on top". Thanks.

just wanted to see if I could help you get GF situated on the screen somewhere but since you say traction only has a fullscreen mode I can see where thats a problem.
how about this,
if you set the screen res to its largest would the traction window still be fullscreen or would it leave some space?
