After finding a good theme (I assumed if you find the waveshape, colormap, flowfield you want) you can save it and use it when you save the theme. Somehow I didn't work. The next day all my waveshape, colormap, flowfield vanished.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled but it's still the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this? And how do you get like the visualization to play the selection you choose forever?
My OS is Window Vista Home Premium 64bit. Window Media Player 11

it looks to me like GF is not communicating properly with GF.
The toolbar and vis are 2 seperate entities, The toolbar connects to GF via tcp so a firewall or a program called bonjour can get in the way and when this happens the fields in the toolbar will be blank.
make sure your toolbar exe has permission to access the net or search your computer for Apples bonjour service and either disable or uninstall it completely and you should get your toolbar working.

Thank you very much. After uninstalling Bonjour it worked great! I never knew what Bonjour really did. Got it with Itunes. Seems like junk.

the funny thing about bonjour is that is purpose is to facilitate the interaction between programs so that they run smoother together.
Amazing, I had the same problem with the blank fields. When I turned off Bonjour, it started working again.
Now, I have a problem with the Toolbar. It sits on top of the desktop, instead of over Media Player and a popup says that Toolbar.exe has stopped working.
If this were my troubleshoot problem I would once again Uninstall G-Force and, After Backing it offer, DELETE your c:\Documents and Settings\{NAME OF YOUR COMPUTER}\Application Data\Soundspectrum folder (no doubt its contents were toyed with inadvertently by some other application). In the Folder Options/View of 'WINDOWS Explorer' you must make sure the "Show hidden files and folders" is CHECKED
Re-Install and see if you get back your G-Force Options prior to it being munged round with by some miscreant app. IF all is well go through your troubleshoot process again to get G-Force going the way YOU want it.
My tuppence towards your dilemna,
Good luck
Donald

Any thoughts on this?
Bob
open the standalone version and from there open the tool bar and look in toolbar preferences and uncheck always on top close the tool bat and exit gf restart gf and see if it remains on top.
Thanks for the replies. As it happens, I installed Norton 360 recently, and I don't know what all changed but now, G-Force (as well as several other programs) seem to be working fine.
I'm still learning my way around Vista. Last Windows I had was 3.1
