Where to download older versions of G-Force Plat ?

Post by jasonc »

Hi,

I'm having problems trying to find older versions of G-Force Platinum. I'm trying to get it working with MediaPortal v1 RC4. I've tried the following versions with NO luck at all.

v3.85 Plat
v3.84 Plat
v3.75 Gold

However i've manged to get v3.73 Plat to work perfectly, but it won't accept my current platinum serial number, so am having to use a trial version on the internet, which is working perfectly.

I do believe that you cannot download older versions from Soundspectrum so asking here isnt the answer.

Why can't we access older versions of the programs we have paid for ?

That's why you save them. That's the only way I know of to get older versions if olderversions.com doesn't have them.

And no I did not save the older versions.

mark: Even if i did save it, my Serial Number that i've got when i upgraded from GOLD to PLAT doesn't work, as it say's it's invalid.

So then the software reverts back down to a trial version which annoys the hell out of you with the banner telling you that it's a trial versions and to bacially buy a full version...which i already have done.

I am sorry, I just assumed the old serial # would work with the older versions, you just could not get updates.

The unfortunate thing is that even if you try to DL older versions through places like MacUpdate or VersionTracker, the link will still redirect you to this site.

Jay: Yes i know that's the problem i'm having.

the thing to do is to save each and every exe and each code you get when you renew your GF subscription that way you'll always have what you need if for some reason you want to revert to an older GF.

juxtiphi: I've managed to get hold of v3.7.3 PLAT file, but once i have installed it, and put in my PLAT serial no. It's say's it's invalid. The reasons i'm using this version is because it's the ONLY one i have managed to find that will work with MediaPortal. All the versions above v3.7.3 PLAT don't work.

you need your last serial number if you can find it, it will work. always put your serial number obn a text file so that you have them later use.
