G-Force for iPhone and iPod touch??

Post by f00fighter »

I recently bought an iPhone and have been playing with all of the new 3rd party apps that are being developed and installed on iPhones using the AppTapp Installer from Nullriver Software and the developers of the PXL Package System.

Do you guys have any plans to get G-Force working on an iPhone (or iPod touch) in the future? I know it would kill battery life...but it would be awesome to watch when it's docked or plugged in at my desk...

It was just announced a few days ago that Apple will release a SDK in Feb 2008 for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Maybe Andy and the gang can get something goin on for the portable units but G-Force would definitely have to be slimmed down and streamlined to work on such a small device.

They look really nice. It's a shame AT&T has the monopoly on them.

No, I created those images using a stock photo of the iPhone from Apple.com and the sample screen shots of GForce that are available on SoundSpectrum.com.

The official iPhone & iPod touch SDK announcement from Apple gives me hope that 3rd party developers like SoundSpectrum can create a version of GForce for these devices...it would be awesome!

If the processor in the iPhone and iPod touch can't handle the requirements of GForce, perhaps a version of WhiteCap can be ported to this platform instead?? That would be cool too (see below):

It's been five months since the last "front page" news update from SoundSpectrum. Is there a big surprise in store for us this year?

Is there any chance that Andy has been busy working on a version of G-Force (or WhiteCap) for the iPhone/iPod Touch using the iPhone SDK???

I hope they've been working on the PROMISED update to Darkroom.

Meh - I couldn't care less about porting GF, SS or WC to any of Sony's gaming platforms (same goes for Microsoft's XBox and Nintendo's Wii).

I'd rather see Andy & Co. focus on additional work to improve & expand GF, SS or WC on the Windows, OSX, Linux (Ubuntu) Apple TV, Zune, etc. - but most of all the iPhone & iPod Touch! :D

It would be great to carry my tunes with me and zone-out watching the visualizations on a flight or train ride while listening to my favorite music.

G-Force on PS3

Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp or implement? This would also increase your consumer base (you know what I mean?) ](*,) ](*,)

It's up to the developers what they want to do. We don't have any say. Maybe it's a licensing problem, or it's too difficult to make it work on portable units.(or is not financially feasible) All you can do is ask the developers directly. Maybe they can tell you if they can or cannot do it, and why.

The thing is, the developers are still too busy refining all of the SoundSpectrum products to go work on other projects, I believe.

I've been waiting for Darkroom for Windows for years, but I understand that everything takes time. :) :) :)
