The message: "Softskies cannot run on this computer because it lacks the required graphics hardware or because the latest graphics drivers aren't installed."

I'm using a GeForce 8800 GTS. (With updated driver.)

G-Force and WhiteCap work.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, etc.

Any more thoughts on how to correct?

I solved the ""Softskies cannot run on this computer because it lacks the required graphics hardware or because the latest graphics drivers aren't installed."" problem by:
changing the screen resolution to the lowest setting
and (seeing that that allowed Softskies to operate) then moved the resolution to the normal, high resolution.

Today I installed Softskies 1.3 and I get the same error message. Softkies 1.2 worked perfectly!! I have the latest graphic drivers.
What's going on?

Today I installed Softskies 1.3 and I get the same error message. Softkies 1.2 worked perfectly!! I have the latest graphic drivers.
What's going on?

when installing a new edition you should always uninstall the old one first and then in some cases delete all traces of soundspectrum restart and then install the new one.

overwriting the old can cause registry errors , a clean install is always the best way to go when installing any new version of GF WC or SS

I just discovered that Softskies is running well as standalone app. So I think it has something to do with JRiver MediaCenter.

I've just renewed my platinium licence in orther to use it again with JRiver Media Center 12 and have exactly the same issue.

Using Vista, 8800GTS and recent drivers, recent MC12 version, latest version of softskies available on the donwload page.

It works with windows media player but "living images" don't work : I see no images (castle , structures or castle)

Uninstaling/reinstaling as no effect.
is there any fix available ??

Count me as yet another J. River user who is getting this error from SoftSkies.

Same error message form me with the latest version of both MC 12 (build 515) and softskies.
And I have a 8800GTS too...
