Slow Down

Post by Alex Emery »

Hi, im useing G-Force with ITunes 7.2 as well as earlier versions. G-Force always looks amazing but every few seconds it will slow down for a couple of seconds before speeding up again.
When its running it only uses about 50% of the CPU's power and ive tried shutting down everything and changing to resolution/fps/screen size etc but this always happens in full screen and normal
Any suggestions to make it run smootly would be great
Thanks

try turning off all unecessary programs like anti virus or other stuff running in the background thats not specifically important and see if there is an improvment.

the only other suggestion I have for you right now is to completely uninstall GF and delete all traces of GF and soundspectrum folders including the prefs file folder.

clean your registry and then try reinstalling GF

you need a registry cleaner like "registry fix"

cleaning the registry ensures that there are no old keys still sitting there waiting to confuse your OS.

Alex,

The 50% CPU usage issue is known and I'm sure SS will address it down the road. A faster CPU is really the best thing you can do to significantly speed up G-Force. Even then, you will have to overclock it if you are running at high resolutions to achieve a 30fps+ framerate.

overclock? i think my PC is fine, if it was the PC surly reducing the resolution and screen size would change that, ive tried making it really small and it runs stupidly quickly but you can still see it slow down for a few seconds. My problem is now the fps its the fact that it runs smoothly then slows down before going smooth again
