Just thought to mention, i installed the new AEON 3.0 and was using the 64-bit version (which is located in the 32-bit (x86) Program Files folder) along with the 32 bit version,
The onscreen error message i got was quite long, one line, of which the end read:
erorr loading.... hullsquares2...
Please implement a hotfix into the cabinet files of the 3.0 version and update it if possible asap......
P.S it may help to ensure all new scenes are beta tested first as well

Yes is working, especially well on the overload theme setting (theme options always reset to the default "active theme" upon close of visualizer instance)
My error was referring to the single command error line text alert across the top, in a nutshell that was the error line of text, the same area that shows fps, etc
also people should be made well aware to exit or go fullscreen now in aeon involves holding the shift button and pressing enter, not double clicking anymore which we are all used to doing with ss vizz's...

Yeah, took me a while to discover that one. That annoying pause between scenes is still present.
If you have kept the mail SoundSpectrum would have sent you when you purchased Aeon try copy / paste the code into the licence number box, just in case you made a typo.

Highest Probability: You initally registered with a different email address... Find your purchase confirmation email (in which they sent you your license) and make sure THAT is the email address you use. Cut and Paste the license from the email... don't attempt to type it yourself.

The email address is correct. I copy and pasted (email).
The problem is the license code. I copy and pasted (license).
