In older versions, It was possible to display names of wave shapes, colour maps etc, as they appeared by hotkey '0'
Apparently Its now only possible to show current, (hotkey 'L').
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

To my knowledge (and I've been using this for 4 years more or less), L has always been the key to show the current-effect names. Are you using a media player that hijacks the L-key function for it's own purposes?

For instance, the Z, X and C keys control the waveshape slideshow, unless you're in WinAmp; then the (,./ or <>?) keys are used instead.

Personally I use the standalone for OS X; and the situation you mentioned with the L hotkey has always shown current-effect names in that environment with me.

Do you mean the mysterious verbose mode? Try pressing 'V' doesn't work for Winamp though

I recall reading In the old forum this same topic, the reply related to the 'V' hotkey, but I could never get It to work, hence my question, and yes I do use Winamp, so at least I have the answer.
I may be going back a couple or more years, but it was definitely 'O' and I was able to assign the hotkey in the prefs' to enable it to show at startup.
Oh well, thats progress!
Thanks for replying.

If you are using WinAmp, the "L" key will list the pertinant infomration.

It looks like MrBurly is indeed looking for verbose mode. In winamp, it's pipe ('|')--it should show up in the hotkey help list.
