It would seem that whenever the console is set to verbose, the titles flicker/strobe during autopiloted palette transitions (perhaps an unintended coolness??). With user-prompted shifts, the console display seems to exhibit a momentary lag in catching up to the oncoming map (a bit clunkier than the aforementioned; but who force-changes palettes on a constant basis anyway??).
For instance, a map with a black/other color-lettered console would be forcibly changed to one that shows the titles in white lettering. The otherwise expected result would show about 1.25 seconds after the actual completion of the transition.
I can understand if this has to be in order to achieve the manner of palette changes you seek; if there's no quick or extant work-around for this, I won't mind. As I mentioned before, the strobing effect while unintentional, somehow adds something. One man's opinion.
