Where are the Python files on OSx?

Post by Kulu Orr »

Hi,

I have used the excellent WhiteCap visualiser quite a it in the past.
In fact I even created a 6 part tutorial series for it here -
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... E5STccYrVs
The tutorials start from the basics and go u pall the way to advanced scripting and modifying the SSEngine Python files.

However I've since switched from PC to Mac, and now I can't seem to find any of the files I used to work with.
Where is the SSEngine file? And the rest of the Python files?

Thanks!
Kulu

Aha! Found them... So for the benefit of anyone else who might like to locate these in the future:
/Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/SoundSpectrum/WhiteCap/Library

Note that you usually can't just browse there (at least not with the default Finder preferences), so you can use Shift+Command+G then type it in the GoTo text box.

Hello Kulu Orr

I have viewed all six of your video's, an awful lot of work has obviously gone into creating them together with your knowledge of Python. Amazing creative work, well done. Anyone interested in customising SoundSpectrum programs would I am sure learn a lot from your tutorials. I have sent an email to Brandon of SoundSpectrum bringing your work to his attention.

The link in your profile is not working:- http://www.control-freak.info

I am sure that you are aware that if you use any SoundSpectrum product for commercial performances (you state you are a performer) that you need to contact SoundSpectrum to purchase a commercial licence.
