Can't install latest release of White Cap 5.0.1

Post by fogcitynative »

I have a PowerBook G4 and am running OS X 10.4.10.

When I download the White Cap package, it is a .zip file.

When I un-zip the file, it becomes a .dmg file.

When I launch the .dmg file, I get a drive icon.

When I double click on the drive icon on my desktop, I see the read me.rtf and a folder for White Cap with a .pkg extension.

Double clicking on this folder will bring up a program called Pacifist that allows the extraction and installation of packages. However, because of all the serial number authentication routines built into White Cap, Pacifist cannot install the package. Moving Pacifist to the trash and double clicking on the package brings up a dialog asking me what program I'd like to use to run the .pkg file and sorry, but I have no clue how to select OS X or the finder.

Bottom line is I cannot install White Cap.
