I think one of the best uses for whitecap could be as a supplement for the built in music player on the iPod.
There could be a transparent "W" button added somewhere when album artwork for playing songs is displayed, and pressing the button turns on whitecap and replaces the artwork. It could also have an optional full screen mode.
This could also be developed as a separate app for the iPhone, but I think that wouldn't be as effective because people would have to remember to separate launch the whitecap app, not just have it when music is playing.
If you wanted to take it one step further, it could make the "select/view song" background transparent and have whitecap running back there.
I would love to know what it would take to make whitecap for cydia, and if I could be of any help if it were to happen, even though I have little programming experience.
Actually in another thread Andy55 mentioned porting SS products over to IOS. He said they had G-Force or maybe it was AEON running. Nothing finished yet.
Also said Android would be next possibly. I am of course looking forward to this as I would love to have all 3 in a portable form
I am aware of the thread you are referring to (posted in 2010) but SoundSpectrum are working on a NEW visualisation product (or maybe even products) at this moment in time which I believe will take priority over all other things.
