Wave form hiccups in Windows Media Player

Post by Vethraxx »

I have been having issues with windows media player about the wave forms hiccuping their motion about ever 2 seconds. It was driving me nuts because it was only for my old 78s directory. On 2 different computers, one was networked to share the file directory. Still had hiccups. I thought it has something to do with the files... they are all raw .wav files from my 78 collection I made myself...

Turns out. It's the size of the play list that WMP cannot handle. There are 1,939 files in that directory. When made into a play list WMP has a fit. The audio does not skip, but whitecap has lagging video every time. Drag one file out of the directory. No problems.

So a heads up to anyone that is having similar issues and did not find a resolution. I am still trying to find the upper limit of the play list size before skipping starts.
