ANY CONFIGS OUT THERE Looking for add-on config packages
I would like to try my first addition of new configs outside of the Gforce download. I see the link with configs at http://www.soundspectrum.com/g-force/contributors.html Would anyone recommend the zip file I should try first? (Stable, good new stuff)? Thanks!

Hello nealsal
No problem. If you are referring to this page:
http://www.soundspectrum.com/g-force/contributors.html
All of the contributors zip files (including my own) on that page have been removed by SS. I don't know why. You could try contacting SS here:-

Hello nealsal
I have sent you an email with a Zip file containing some ColorMaps.

As I have already said there were many configs available for download from SoundSpectrum until recently, for some reason or another the company decided to withdraw these.Any others out there who could post some? Or is there a section in the Forum that features others' creations of waveshapes, etc?

Very suspicious. In any case all the configs have been saved on the internet archive and can be downloaded here:BTT wrote:All of the contributors zip files (including my own) on that page have been removed by SS. I don't know why.
I do have a question: how do I use these configs with the latest version of G-Force? Seems like they have switched to python scripts.
Edit by BTT - WARNING anyone downloading the configs from the link above should be aware that none of these configs have been tested by SoundSpectrum. Therefore SoundSpectrum accept no responsibility for issues relating to downloading and installing any of the configs. You download and install them at your own risk. Also the configs are Copyright (c) SoundSpectrum Inc.
There was a comment on the Facebook page, that "I" took to imply that this site/forums were going to be updated.
The WS Configs that I write "look" different because I am taking advantage of [undocumented] things that came to be, as a result of the VectorC port, but the original Config syntax, should STILL work just fine (for the most part).
The "Meta=" directive is no longer supported as of 5.0; it throws an error, but the Config should still run fine. Just comment the line out.
As far as Scripting goes, you are CORRECT; Python has replaced the pseudo "C" syntax... but some work STILL needs to be done before Scripting can be considered fully ported.
