SUGGEST A NAME FOR NEW PRODUCT

Post by BTT »

Hello All

SoundSpectrum will shortly be releasing a new product which they have named Tunr. Typing Tunr into Google suggests this may not be a good idea, Microsoft will for one not be too happy.

Any suggestions for the new products name?
.

Unless I'm mispronouncing "Tunr", why not Tuner?

Hello g_randybrown

Tuner seems to be associated with guitars and banjo's. Have another go.

I guess my problem is that I don't know what "tunr" implies...maybe you could elaborate?

Hello g_randybrown

I have no idea how SoundSpectrum came up with the name Tunr. I do know that doing a search with Google tells me it's not a good name to use. I believe Microsoft have a music / vis available from the Microsoft store called Tunr which could lead to some potential legal problems.

I agree it could be a legal issue, I just thought you were a rep for SS asking.
I'll certainly be looking forward to the release regardless of the name.

Folks these days chop letters off terms all the time. Especially in chat. I am surprised that you act so 'in the dark' over it.

Call it "Chatbonics". My suggestion is a full term, but I think it sounds nice, and multiple term names seem like they won't make the cut.

Another good name might be something like "Nebula".

Hello All

I was going to suggest SoundSpectrum use the name for their now abandoned project 'FLUX' however, that doesn't seem such a good idea as there is already an audio program with that name. So, how about 'FUSION'.

I like G-Fusion. It retains brand retention with G-Force and conveys the idea that it is incorporating more things, fusing them together, than the original G-Force.

It sounds like they are committed on the Tunr name. I wish they would listen to their devoted fans imho.

Not much chance of that happening, Andy is a stubborn man.
