New Product Tunr - Maybe Not The Name To Use

Post by BTT »

Hello All

New product Tunr - Maybe not the name to use. Simply type the word Tunr into Google, and check out the results.

This is my conclusion also BTT.... Tunr as a product / service name has been used before...

Searching Google, there is already a Tunr app in the Microsoft Windows Store... and in total Tunr bring in 395,000 results...

Maybe not much though was given to the branding or marketability? Tunr, the name itself has been and thrashed by social media accounts, Windows Modern app store, radio stations, etc.
On the second page of results I see "TUNR stands for Tunnel-Thru Rock-No Lining (engineering)." What THE :?:

If the name has to be changed so be it. Pick something unique and relative.

In the meantime any possible fixes, Windows 10 DirectX12 optimization and updates to current SS visualizers including the abandoned Whitecap Beta are most welcome....!

I'm very lucky to have full DX12/DX12.1 - by upgrading to Win10 I already experience noticeable improvements in ALL SoundSpectrum Visualizers

Thanks BTT,

Alf

Hello ozbeats

I don't think many SoundSpectrum users are aware of the following. You will not be able to purchase Aeon, G-Force, SoftSkies or WhiteCap as individual programs when Tunr is launched. I am not sure the new program will run on Windows.

SoundSpectrum are making major changes to their software. There will only be ONE audio visualiser program available called Tunr, see the details below.
andy55 wrote:When Tunr ships, you'll start to see SoundSpectrum shift from selling visuals as isolated products to a single vis that contains each of our visuals (and new visuals). Of course, those that own licenses in the update window will receive complimentary licenses. This will also be pretty cool since our visuals will intermingled with each other so that maybe one song shows G-Force and another shows a set of Aeon configs.

This is a little misleading. We're not planning on removing all of our desktop software as soon as Tunr comes out. We're going to make Tunr compatible with desktop first. What Andy was saying is that this change shouldn't affect how any of our current users use SoundSpectrum visualizers at all.
