Sprite Timing

Post by Daddo »

it may be that I don't fully understand any of the timing settings for any element, but I'll assume I do and limit my question to one that I have about sprites:

I'm running a custom theme, my sprite settings are
sprite show interval - 5 minutes
sprite transition time - 15 secs
sprite duration - 45 seconds
I do not have every sprite selected - in fact very few and I do have some sprites in there that I placed myself.

while I don't want to see a sprite every 5 mins, shouldn't this mean that I would see a new sprite every 5 mins? instead I see a sprite only what I would call "occasionally". what I'm ultimately hoping for is occasionally but with more frequency than I am currently seeing.

what should I expect based on the above settings and how best to tweak them?

Hello Daddo

Close G-Force and your media player

You need to edit the Preference file. I can only tell you how to locate this in XP. Make sure Hidden Files are showing then go to:

C\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\SoundSpectrum\G-Force and look for a Text folder named Preferences Winamp or which ever player you are using.

You should see a text file like this. Edit the three lines highlighted, save the changes you have made then start your media player and G-Force. You may need to do this a few times until you get the result you want. You MUST close G-Force and your media player before making any changes.

Hello Daddo

The values are supposed to represent seconds, but G-Force is a law unto itself. You can put whatever you want there, it's a case of trial and error. If you mess things up just simply delete the text file, and G-Force will automatically create a new one next time it's loaded.
