GForce Menu (v5.1.3) Issue

Post by chi2king »

Hi!

I am currently configuring my GForce display (v5.1.3) but it seems that the menu always shows up whenever I click on the screen. Is there a way that I can always hide it permanently after configuring my GForce display?

Thanks.

Hello chi2king

Are you using Windows?

Do you know where the Preference file is stored on your computer?

Which Media Player are you using?

Yes, I'm using windows and I am not using it as a plug in to any media player. I'm using it as a stand alone. And I don't like seeing the menu once I have configured it. Right now whenever I accidentally click on the mouse, the menu would appear. Is there a file that I should have a look into? Thanks.

Hello chi2king

You need to edit the following:

"C:\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Roaming\SoundSpectrum\G-Force\Preferences (Standalone).txt"

Change:
UI.ActivateOnClick = 1
to
UI.ActivateOnClick = 0

You can still bring the menu up with tab....

Another question. Is it possible to pause the visualization display? Thanks.

I observed that the visualization depends on three files, the WaveShapes, ColorMaps and FlowFields. Is there a way to choose only those visualization display that I like? Like sometimes I like the display (color combination) and sometimes i don't like it.

If I want to customize the display, is it possible?

Thanks.

Hello chi2king

If you want a certain WaveShape, FlowField, ColorMap combination you would need to write a script to do this for you. I do not have the experience to write such a script. Maybe someone with the required experience could do this for you.

Shouldnt there be a way for you be able to create a custom 'theme' with just those elements?

Hello chi2king

To help us to help you please explain exactly what it is you want do.

1) Do you want the same WaveShape, FlowField, ColorMap combination to remain on screen all the time?
2) Do you want to be able to call up the combination at will?
3) Do you want to include a Particle and Sprite?
4) Or something completely different?

The more detail you can give would be appreciated.

It would be the easiest option, I have not been able to achieve this....now if only the ToolBar....

Sorry for the confusion. My purpose is to choose which WaveShape, FlowField, ColorMap that would give me a better visualization. This combination of WaveShape, FlowField, ColorMap can be the ones already existing on the installed folder.

Once these WaveShape, FlowField, ColorMap are identified, I will just delete the other WaveShapes, FlowFields, ColorMaps (found on their respective folders) that are not identified to be giving a better/colorful visualization.

Thanks.

I believe that unless you make a script or a custom theme you will get an error message every time G-force looks for another config
