control visualization
I am trying to control the visualization to display only whenever there is a signal from the microphone, meaning there is sound being inputed to the microphone.
I tried playing with the pref, boot, startup, const text files but I cannot seem to control the visualization display.
Is there anybody here who had done this already? Can somebody please direct me to a link where I can read about this? Your help will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello chi2king
Found this info in the G-Force documentation:
Can I visualize a live audio feed from my microphone?
Absolutely—it's really cool! Start the G-Force Standalone application, and follow the instructions above to select your microphone as the audio input source. Clap your hands and see what happens!

Hello chi2king
I have never personally tried to do what you want. but I believe it is possible. I think it has something to do with how you set-up the audio device.

I tried contacting support and this is their response:
Does anybody knows here of list of visualizations with blank unresponsive state? It would be of great help to me if somebody could give me the names.
I will start playing all visualizations one at a time to know if it has blank unresponsive state or not but if anybody here has a list, that would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
It seems that controlling visualization depends on the visualization display itself. I think there is no need to change configuration text files. You just choose among the visualizations that have blank unresponsive state. In G-Force, many of the visualizations have a base/unresponsive state. So you will see some sort of shape, not a blank screen. However, some do have a blank unresponsive state. You might want to try the forums for further help.

Hello chi2king
Not the best response I have seen from SoundSpectrum.
I failed to ask you if you were running G-Force in Standalone.
1. Run G-Force Standalone. If you have trouble locating it, search your system for "G-Force Standalone". On Windows, use can select Start | All Programs | G-Force in order to easily access the standalone version (on Mac OS X, G-Force Standalone is on the G-Force Platinum install volume).
2. With G-Force Standalone running, press SHIFT A to switch audio input sources.
■You can also switch audio input sources by right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the G-Force window.
■You can also switch audio input sources by using the G-Force Toolbar’s advanced settings section.
3. Use the + - keys to adjust G-Force’s visual responsiveness to suit your personal taste (this adjusts how reactive the visuals are to the audio input source). You can also adjust the visual responsiveness using the G-Force Toolbar.
4. Use the [ ] keys to adjust the preamp scale. See the customizing section for a description of the response vs. preamp scale.
■In most cases, adjusting the visual responsiveness (described above) should give you the desired result and you will not need to change the preamp scale. You’ll only want to adjust the preamp scale if line-in level is abnormally high or low (e.g., you have a poor microphone that only gives you a 10% of the signal level).

What I did was do a testing of different Waveshapes one at a time to look for those Waveshapes that are working on blank unresponsive state and once I was able to identify, I deleted those that are not (those that are still responsive even without input). I also retained mostly of Flowfields and just choose one for Colormaps.
Right now whenever i do not have microphone input, i get a display that is the (RG) Blue of the Colormap (the one I retained). And when I input thru the microphone the Waveshape is displayed with its corresponding Flowfield.
My next task is, I'm trying to delete the G-force logo whenever the standalone starts. Is there a particular file where I can update so as not to display the logo instead display the visualization immediately?
Thanks.

Hello chi2king
We have on a few occassions been asked this question when SoundSpectrum products are being used for commercial purposes without purchasing the required commercial license. Should this be the case then please read the following:
Professional Versions (Commercial License)
A commercial license can enable you to use Aeon, G-Force, SoftSkies, and/or WhiteCap in venues such as night-clubs, music/concert events, VJ events, video recordings, or in public performances and exhibitions. Commercial use or public display of our software products is strictly prohibited without obtaining a commercial license from SoundSpectrum. To inquire about a commercial license, please contact us.

The G-Force logo is built into the G-Force engine so it is not possible to remove it. Why would you want to do that?chi2king wrote:My next task is, I'm trying to delete the G-force logo whenever the standalone starts. Best way to avoid the logo is to close your eyes when the program starts.chi2king wrote:What I did was do a testing of different Waveshapes one at a time to look for those Waveshapes that are working on blank unresponsive state and once I was able to identify, I deleted those that are not (those that are still responsive even without input).
