external hard drive
Hi, i would like to run gforce on an external hard drive that's connected to my tv...without it being connected to my pc....is this possible...many thanks Ian.
GF is a program. The only way you could display it on a Monitor without a PC is to capture its output (using Fraps, or whatever) and create some kind of AVI file that your TV was able to play natively... which may, or may not be possible... You certainly can burn a DVD, but you are gonna lose resolution due to compression...
a couple of things could be your buzz. Does the TV buzz if the connected PC is running off the battery??... (if laptop, I guess
). If not, connect the PC without the ground pin connected... i.e., http://www.adorama.com/ZZAC32.html?gcli ... 4AodViIoaQ . Laptop power supplies are nortorious ... since someone is bound to speak up and tell you this is an absolutely terrible idea, you are on your own ... but I have run this way for years... not that it is necessarily the 'proper' thing to do..

Hi ianc3eeeianc3eee wrote:What one the real problems is that i cant get rid {many tries) of the buzzing from pc to tv.
this is not an technical forum, If you need tech support then you should go to a tech forum.
This forum is only for discussion od G-force.
I will try and answer this "last" question for you,
The buzz you hear is most likely caused by a bad ground in your electronics, like your stereo Tv or your computer may not be propperly grounded . In this case you ned to find the source and correct the ground.
disconnect your tv and see if the hum goes away. If it doesnt reconect your tv and disconnect your computer from your stereo and see if the hum goes away. if it doesnt then you know its not those items. . if its not that then you may have a cable or speaker wire crossed. If this is the problem then you need to rewire it all and make sure you have all rca cablis the speaker wires plugged into the plus and minus propperly. it could also be caused by a bad audio cable which may have been bent to many times or crushed causing a slight short.
most likely its your Tv, Try using a Cable TV Ground Isolator found at any radio shack.
I hope this helps you. please no more technical questions unless related to G-force.
Thank you

I don't really see any problem with members posting questions such as the posts by ianc3eee. I believe the posts from jerohm and juxtiphi have given the original poster very good advice. If the original poster received no replies then he / her could be pointed in the right direction to obtain help.juxtiphi wrote: this is not an technical forum, If you need tech support then you should go to a tech forum.

Hi BTT
ianc3eee's first question is ok because he wants to do something that relates to his use of G-force, after that it degenerates into which cable is best or do they make this kind of cable and how do I fix this, whats next? questions about tvs and other junk?.
If this were a general tech support site I would agree, but since we're not here to answer questions about ground loops and cables and why doesnt my video card work with this or tmy monitor is fuzzy how do? or any other of the million tech questions that could come up I think we should stick with G-force related questions which is what this forum is for.
ps, I got your last email
