I upgraded to GF 2.6.4. The first time I ran it, it was at the default screen resolution (as is the case when a new version is installed). When I went into full screen mode and then pressed M to change it to 1024x768x32 Letterbox, it said to re-enter for the change to take effect. I did, but the settings did not save. I tried this on 3 different Windows installations and encountered the same problem with all 3. Closing Winamp and restarting did not help. Rebooting did not help either. I have not had this problem with previous versions. This is with G-Force Gold.
Winamp 5.03a
GeForce MX4 400 card with 64MB video RAM
512MB RAM
Asus A7N8X Deluxe 1.04 board
WinME/XP Home SP1/XP Pro SP1 (multi-boot)

Any ideas?
Thanks.
So, you're saying it only goes to 640x480 and that's it? Also, you're confusing me when you use the word "letterbox" interchangably with fullscreen resolution settings.
When entering Ctrl+shift+K (or double-clicking the display window -- I've tried both) in Winamp, I get the 640x480 full screen. When pressing M to change the resolution, I press M until I get to 1024x768x32. It says to re-enter full screen mode to make the changes. I do, but the only change I see is that the pixels have changed (finer resolution), but it still fills the entire screen. The "Panavision" effect (the black bars) does not return. That's what I miss. BTW, running the latest nVidia drivers on all the different OS's.

Ah--now I understand what you mean! You can simply solve your problem by eidting your prefs file; set MaxY to whatever max frame height you desire.
