I've just finished converting my problematic FlowFields through Word X to MS-DOS plain text files and they all seem to be in perfect working order once again! Evil Word and RTF syntax begone!
Now I'm gonna check through my Maps and WaveShapes (which I thankfully haven't noodled around with textfile-wise) and see if I can do the same thing with them.
Edit/Update: I'm registering cautious optimism here. I've had a chance to open up the fixed docs in another text editor and all the code/gobbledygook that plagued them has been stripped clean. I suppose that as long as it's a clean text file generated by anything other than TE, the G-Force processor won't puke it out.
I also have been (and will be) working through some additional files and even though they don't seem to have any gibberish on them (opening them up in a 3rd party text editor), I'm still using the aforementioned save to MS-DOS procedure to convert. It seems that these files are still in .rtf format and I'm dealing with them accordingly.
UPDATE: iTunes finally crashed out after about 20 minutes of near-flawless performance. Any slight framerate-burp I noticed I deem attributable to the loading of a self-installed photo-sprite.
I checked each folder to see if all effects were where belonged and it seemed that way to me. I'm still figuring why after all this work I get a crash...but it was good while it lasted.
