Can't Figure Configure
It happens every time I upgrade G-Force. I can never recall how to change preferences. Now I have 2.6.6. I try modifying "Boot.txt," trying to eliminate the letterbox format--seems this should work: "SetPref( PREF_FULLSCREEN_Y, 640 )" and change the default font--seems this would work: "//SetPref( PREF_TRACK_TEXT_FONT, "N Helvetica Narrow" )" But the changes I make and save to Boot.txt don't change anything. Help appreciated.

Please see the customizing section of the docs (sorry--yes, thing shave changed a lot lately). You shouldn't edit the boot when you can edit a pref file to do it instead. Here's what I recommend:Paperbag Rider wrote:It happens every time I upgrade G-Force. I can never recall how to change preferences. Now I have 2.6.6. - exit G-Force.
- undo your changes in the boot file
- see customizing section and make the appropriate edits to your prefs file.

Confounded Configs
Thanks for directing me away from Boot.txt and toward the customizing doc. I've made changes and they've taken hold, but this doesn't mean my quibbles are over. Oh, no.
The font looks crumbly and broken up, as though it's trying to go boldface but can't. That's why I was trying typefaces (such as Geneva or Helvetica) that look good even though they're not anti-aliased fonts. I see nothing in prefs that might address this. I assume that the directives are inaccessible and not universal, buried somewhere in the configs of each individual dazzling effect.
But thanks for the help!
