Thanks for the reply Jerohm but I definitely didn't understand your previous instructions. Maybe our exchange in this thread will prompt them to restore the save theme function back to the control panel. At least I have one theme that I like.

Hello jerohm

As Andy has promised to re-introduce the save theme feature in the G-Force toolbar would this mean you're above info would not be required?
.

MY thought process is based on the GUI as it stands today... and if it is going to remain, which I have no reason to believe that it isn't, is still valid and necessary.

ON THE OTHER HAND, if there ever was a good reason for a remote control application, GF would be IT. I doubt if GF could ever (near term anyway) be ported to Android(/Iphone/Ipad) platform ... just not enough CPU horsepower. However a wifi remote control application would be completely plausible... and IMO, desirable. I would much rather make theme configuration modifications sitting on my couch, than screwing around on the active display.

I originally thought that the whole GUI idea was done to discourage private licensed versions, from being used for commercial purposes... I don't really understand how the GUI would ever be acceptable in a [scripted] commercial environment.

The GUI data structure paradigm is coherent and consistent, but in actual use, less than optimal.

FYI: I (think I) understand the data file structure well enough, that I edit them by hand, and don't even bother trying to configure themes using the GUI. I DO WISH that the debug log could be timestamped and written to a disk file
