Vertical refresh rate setting

Post by quantuz »

How can I set the vertical refresh rate in fullscreen mode to 75Hz, it stuck on 60Hz. My windows XP dispmode is 1024x768 75Hz but when I go into GF full screen mode it drops down to 60Hz on my projector info dialogue.

Thanks,
//Christer

this can probably be changed in the options for your video card.

try setting refresh rate overide in display properties advanced tab (if it isnt there then you need coolbits (nvidia cards only) to unlock this feature). if you have ati video card then there is a setting in advance settings for you to enable this feature and what HZ to use.

or better yet, go to system information in system tools
then, tools tab
then, directx diagnostic tool
then, more help tab
then, overide button on bottom
then set the rate to 75.

these are two ways of setting refresh rate overide. do the one above first and if that doesnt do it then i know using coolbits will.

ps. did you say projector? if so then 60hz is correct. setting higher than that could damage the thing (which there isnt a setting higher than 60hz for you to choose anyhow). pretty much non-monitor type displays usually set themselves at 60hz or lower. they cant go higher unless you got some very expensive new device i havent herd of.

good luck.
