Hi,
I have been trying to alter some of the G-Force settings, but cannot find the "G-Force Prefs" file that all documentation and posts refer to.
As mentioned in another post I am running G-Force Gold 2.6.8 combined with J-River Media Center 8 on Windows XP Pro.
I have searched my entired hard drive (not just the G-Force directory tree) to no avail. Starting and stopping G-Force does not seem to result in the generation of the file either (as per the FAQ).
I can find the boot file and the (default) file in each sprite directory. But that is it for configuration files.
I was initially wanting to change the SPRITE_INTERVAL but changing this in boot and (default) files appears to make no difference.
Was the "G-Force Prefs" file changed, renamed, removed, hidden or something else in this release?
Any help much appreciated.
Wayne

D'oh!
Ok,
feeling stupid. Couldn't find the file because Windows XP doesn't seach system and hidden directories by default.
For anyone with the same problem (and the SAME machine and software configuration) the Prefs file can be found in the : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data directory.
Sorry for a stupid post!

Don't forget that it's now been moved, with 2.6.8, to a new location:
x:\Documents and Settings\<user>
That means there's the older "residual" PREFS file left behind in:
x:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
which probably should have been deleted to avoid confusion. This old obsolete version is certainly not functional. It's the one in the new location which is now "active".
