The biggest "viewable" resolution of G-Force

Post by rapanuy »

Hi there.

I think about buying a third monitor just to run g-force in.
Which is the biggest "viewable" resolution, which g-force is able to run in?

Thx,
Mike

Hi.
I tried it on a JVC 37" LCD TV with a W-XGA (1.366 x 768 Pixel) Display

but g-force wasn´t sharp, torn apart, so it didn´t look good at all.
Now before trying other TVs I´m looking for a recommendation what size / resolution would still be good.

According to Key Compton:
please see the G-Force documentation for details, and please also note that the G-Force display will max out at about 4.1 million pixels
Which would be about 2048x2000.

the "not sharp" effect is due to the protocol you use to conect your computer to your tv.
If you use something like s-video or composite you're limited to the resolution of those standards (520 lines? can't remember by heart)
you have hdmi input on that tv, do you have a dvi output on your video card?
you could connect those 2 with a little adapter and use the real resolution of your screen, 1366x768
then set g-force to that resolution (or the closest one supported)
I hope you'll get a good framerate, that all depends of the power of your box!

It also could be the fullscreen resolution. Try pressing the m key until the resolution matches the resoution of your tv. (btw, you have to exit fullscreen and enter it again to make it go that resolution)

Thx guys.
It was connected via VGA (D-Sub), so I´ll give it another try.

But I still wonder: should I buy a 19" (1280x1024) or a 20" (1600x1200).
The difference in size is just 1", but which resolution looks "better"?

Thx,
Mike
