The "s" variable

Post by davros »

Just wondering if anyone could spare the time to describe what the "s" variable is, how it works, etc, or provide a link to a site describing it...
I've checked out the "Rotating Corridor" config, but that didnt really help me, and i've experimented enough, but still can't work it out.
Its a vital part to one of my configs, yet i cant work out why its doing what it does...
Cheers

The S parameter merely takes a sample (hence the abbreviation) of whatever music's playing and converts it to visible wavelengths.

adding certain functions such as sin, fft or mag will make "s" behave in a given way.

I haven't had much success figuring out the waveshape code as I have the flowfield and colormap code; so maybe someone else can be of better help.
