Why the Letterboxing???
I've got a 1280 X 1024 monitor and so far I've only been able to get G-Force Gold working in letterbox display - has anybody any ideas of how to get full screen visuals?

because I spent £300 on a 19" TFT monitor!
It would be nice to see the amazing graphics filling the whole screen!

The letterboxing effect that you are getting is a result of the default maximum height / width settings for G-Force. These settings can be changed (see instructions below) but you should be aware that relaxing these constraints may cause G-Force to slow down at times (especially when calculating flowfield changes) due to the fact that displaying G-Force at larger resolutions will require significantly more mathematical computations by your computer.

Letterbox Settings (MaxX, MaxY)
--------------------------------------------------------
You can modify the (MaxX, MaxY) settings by changing your G-Force Preferences File. To do this, please open the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\G-Force (on a PC) and Library\Preferences\G-Force\ (on a Mac) and then open the appropriate preferences file (there should be one for each media player that you use with G-Force). Once you have the Preference file open, you can modify the MaxX and MaxY values to be equal to your full screen resolution. Note, the upper limits for these values are approx 4.2 million pixels (MaxX multiplied by MaxY).
Preference File (PC): C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\G-Force
Preference File (Mac): Library\Preferences\G-Force\
Default setting: MaxX=1000
Default setting: MaxY=768
If you want to learn more about the G-Force preferences file, please see the "customizing" section of our documentation: http://soundspectrum.com/g-force/Docume ... izing.html

Thanks a lot keycompton! I've been somewhat miffed by this issue for a while but your solution did the trick! Full-screen goodness (1280x1024)!
My computer handles it just fine...though it's probably above average:
Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.36Ghz
GeForce 6800GT
1GB RAM @ 262Mhz DDR (524Mhz)
160GB SATA RAID 0
80GB SATA w/NCQ for music, etc.
